Namlea, 15 August 2026- Iqra Buru University (UNIQBU) has once again demonstrated its commitment to providing access to higher education for prospective students from various backgrounds through the 2026 KIP College Student Selection Test for Prospective Student Recipients. This activity was held on Friday, August 15 2026, at the Iqra Buru University Auditorium Building. 


The activity began with an opening ceremony which was attended by the Buru Muslim Foundation Management, Vice Chancellors, Deans, and Heads of Institutions at Iqra Buru University. The presence of university and foundation leaders is a form of support for the implementation of the KIP Kuliah program as an effort to expand opportunities for the younger generation to continue their education at university.


On this occasion, the Chancellor of Iqra Buru University, Dr. M. Sehol, S.Pd., M.Si., M.Pd.Si., gave a speech and officially opened the 2026 KIP Lecture Recipient Student Selection Examination activities.


In his speech, the Chancellor emphasized the importance of educational opportunities for the younger generation and invited all participants to take part in the selection process seriously, orderly and responsibly. The KIP Kuliah program is expected to be a means for prospective students who have academic potential and economic limitations to obtain the opportunity to pursue higher education.


This selection test was attended by 185 prospective student recipients of the 2026 Iqra Buru University KIP College. All participants took part in a selection series in accordance with the provisions set by the committee.


It is hoped that the selection process will take place objectively, transparently and accountably so that the selected participants will truly meet the requirements and criteria as KIP Kuliah recipients.


Through this activity, Iqra Buru University continues to strive to support the realization of equal access to higher education in Maluku, especially for regional children who have the enthusiasm and potential to continue their education to tertiary level.
