Iqra Buru University (UNIQBU) held the University Entrance Selection Examination (USMPT) Wave II for the 2026/2027 Academic Year on Friday, August 14 2026. The activity began with an opening ceremony which took place in the Seminar Room at Iqra Buru University.
The opening of the activity was marked by remarks from the Chancellor of Iqra Buru University, Dr. M. Sehol, S.Pd., M.Si., M.Pd.Si., as well as officially opening the implementation of the University Entrance Selection Examination (USMPT) Wave II for the 2026/2027 Academic Year.
In his speech, the Chancellor expressed his welcome to all prospective new students who had chosen Iqra Buru University as an option to continue their higher education. The implementation of USMPT is an important part of the new student admission process as well as a stage for recognizing the potential and readiness of prospective students before participating in the educational process at Iqra Buru University.
The opening activity was also attended by Deans at Iqra Buru University. The presence of the faculty leadership shows the institution's support for the implementation of the new student admission process and Iqra Buru University's commitment to providing good academic services for prospective students.
USMPT Batch II was attended by 72 prospective new students from various regions and spread across 17 study programs available at Iqra Buru University. The participants took part in the entire selection series in an orderly and enthusiastic manner.
The implementation of the USMPT is carried out in two stages, namely a written exam and an interview exam. The first stage is a written exam which aims to measure the basic abilities and academic readiness of prospective students. Next, participants take the second stage in the form of an interview test as part of the selection process to obtain further insight into the motivation, interests and readiness of prospective students in pursuing higher education.
Through the implementation of USMPT Wave II for the 2026/2027 Academic Year, Iqra Buru University hopes to attract prospective students who have the potential, motivation and commitment to develop through higher education. This activity is also the first step for prospective students to join and become part of the big family of Iqra Buru University.
With the opening of USMPT Phase II, Iqra Buru University continues to demonstrate its commitment to providing opportunities for the younger generation to gain access to higher education and preparing superior and competitive human resources for regional and national progress.
