The activity was opened byChancellor Iqra Buru University, Dr. Muhammad Sehol, S.Pd., M.Si., M.Pd.Si., which while acting asKeynote Speaker. In his speech, Chancellor emphasized the importance of collaboration between universities and the industrial world in supporting the development of knowledge, increasing competence students, as well as encouraging the optimal use of natural resource potential responsible for the welfare of society and regional progress.
The 2026 Guest Lecture presents three resource person fromPT. Wapsalit Geothermal Power (WGP), that isMr Remi Harimda, ST., MT., Mrs. Warla Hartanto, and Mr. Aga Ahmad.
In his presentation, the speakers discusses various aspects of geothermal energy development, starting fromprocess exploration and utilization, technology used, and aspects occupational safety and health. Apart from that, the energy contribution is also discussed geothermal againstregional economic growth, clean energy development, and sustainable development.
Through this activity, the University Iqra Buru hopes that students can gain more insight and understanding extensive information about the potential of geothermal energy and opportunities for its utilization regional development. Collaboration with the industrial world is also expected to continue developed as part of efforts to improve the quality of education, graduate competencies, and the contribution of universities to development area.
